Madhuri Bhat is a Tax Manager – Tax Services at MCA Cross Border Advisors Inc.  Madhuri is a seasoned tax professional with over 10 years of US tax management expertise and over 5 years of experience filing complex, cross border US and Canada tax returns.  Her expertise includes tax planning for retirement accounts and the Streamlined Filing Compliance Procedures for US taxpayers who mistakenly fail to report foreign assets or pay taxes.  Madhuri prides herself on working hand-in-hand with clients to customize solutions and her ability to minimize tax liabilities and penalties. 

Before coming to MCA, Madhuri honed her skills working as a Tax Manager for KPMG, Deloitte, and Citizen Abroad Tax Advisors.  There, she prepared complex, cross border tax returns for high-net worth individuals; filed for foreign trusts, foreign rental property, and foreign corporations; and assisted delinquent tax filers in becoming compliant.  Before that, Madhuri worked at Ernst and Young as a Senior International Tax Specialist for several years.

Madhuri has a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance from Bangalore University and has also completed their Program in Business Management.  She is currently pursuing her designation as an Enrolled Agent (EA) which is the highest credential awarded by the IRS.  Madhuri speaks five Indian languages including Hindi, Kannada and Konkani.

Outside of work, Madhuri is a passionate explorer of the West Coast mountains and an avid fan of the movie “Wild” which led her to the great outdoors.
